I never thought i'd end up here. But i'm so glad i did.
I remember playing in the attic of my grandparents house. I remember beautiful light pouring in through the windows and grandma cooking in the kitchen. Grandpa in the garage fixing the car.
It was all captured on film by my uncle Bjarki, who loved to shoot on old film cameras with only natural light.
These pictures are why I do what I do.
I've always been an artist. Even though I failed art class in the 1st grade because I couldn't follow the directions, I can't shake the need to create things. Pretty things that make people happy. I hated school for the most parts and always managed to be the stereotypical high school drop out that couldn't figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Then came photography.
I studied photography in Iceland and there, I learned the rules and how to break them.
Once I studied it and got my degree and dignity back (from the high school fiasco) , I started working with Pink Iceland ( If you know, you know. If you don't, here's a link. https://www.pinkiceland.is/ .You're welcome)
Whether I have just my Iphone or my Canon, the same applies. The sky is my studio. I understand it and I take full advantage of it. Being raised in Iceland gives you the constant sense of wonder and respect towards nature.
If you want to get to know me better, come say hi on the other internets! :
